About
Mars Plastics is a family-owned, full-service injection molding manufacturer and one of the largest molders on the US east coast, with more than 50 years of production experience. Operating from two Rhode Island facilities (Providence HQ at 40 Agnes St plus a Cranston plant), Mars runs an array of 40 injection molding machines ranging from 12 to 1,800-ton class capacity with shot sizes up to 160 ounces, enabling everything from high-cavity small parts to some of the largest molded parts in the industry. Capabilities span custom tooling design and mold making (in-house), production molding including gas-assist, insert molding, over-mold/overmolding, two-color, large-part and multi-cavity runs, plus work-cell mechanical assembly, decorating/packaging, finishing (trimming, painting, printing, plating) and 3D printing / additive prototyping. Quality is backed by agreed quality plans, recorded machine set-up sheets and SPC, with first/last shots retained as reference samples. Mars Plastics serves a broad range of end markets (lighting, wire & cable, pet supplies, toys, pumps & housings, test fixtures, dental disposables, housewares, industrial containers and displays) and is an authorized manufacturer for Target and Walmart. It also produces U.S.-made military medal presentation cases — the official Type 15/16/V plastic presentation case approved by the US Government/Military. The company offers reshoring/onshoring support to bring overseas-injected parts back into domestic production.
